BMW M5 is an executive car

With the emergence of the first promotional video about a month ago, BMW started the promotion campaign of the new generation of the BMW M5, with Hall of Shanghai as a fundamental element to be expected that in the event China saw the light version prototype vehicle. However, the German company's plans have been truncated by filtering Internet the first pictures of the prototype, ahead of the announcement.

Being a prototype, some of the aesthetic elements may vary in final production version, but do not expect substantial changes. On the information thus far give us the photos, the front of the vehicle includes generous cooling intakes, the front wings are new gills, the rear is dominated by two twin exhaust outlets, and the tires are black.

Because these images have been filtered, the technical information associated with these photographs is zero, keeping them alive for months supociones that are surrounding the new BMW M5. It is hoped that under its hood is the 4.4 V8 petrol engine with double boost, with a maximum power range between 550 and 600CV, exceeding the value developed by this engine in the BMW X5 and X6 M. The presentation of this prototype is still scheduled for Abri 19, with Hall of Shanghai as a stage. However, there are rumors that BMW will launch the first official photographs and details of the prototype on Thursday 7 of this month, but with this filter, the company may choose to vary slightly from the interim date.

On more than one occasion, when addressing the tag for the time rumors surrounding the new generation of BMW 1 Series and 3 Series, we had echoed the intention of the German mark to go to have a full range of petrol engines formed by mechanical overfed. This new approach marks a significant change for BMW, and so far, mechanical turbo gasoline have a limited presence in these two models, the six-cylinder 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged as the sole representative. For average power gasoline engines, the new 2.0 and 1.6 Turbo Turbo co-developed with Peugeot cover beyond expectations, but less powerful versions, BMW will draw on new engines. That's where you will enter the new game engine three cylinders in line, so the video shows, you can see inside the news-it seems derivative of the aforementioned 3.0-liter six-cylinder, fulfilling rumors that pointed This new engine would be exactly half of the existing going to have 3 cylinders, 1.500cc. and turbocharger.
Although specific technical data have been published because it will have to wait until at least September, these engines are expected to bring significant benefits associated. Among them was a significant reduction in fuel consumption compared to their current amounts and atmospheric four-cylinder, while emissions will also be lowered. In addition to the arrival of the new breed of engines, BMW has announced the future arrival of front-wheel drive system with the engine arranged transversely, rather than the standard rear-wheel drive system that characterizes the company's vehicles-regardless of the four-wheel drive, which in recent years has expanded the company. Without the BMW will have finalized what models this new drive system, all the pools suggests that those charged with their debut will be the vehicles of the sub-urban vocation.

BMW X3

BMW recently released a teaser video of its upcoming X1 playing in the Arctic snow, and it appears as though the German automaker also brought the X1’s bigger brother along for the frosty tip. Our spy photographers braved the frigid temperatures to bring us the latest shot of the updated BMW X3.

The new X3’s dimensions will hardly change compared with the current one, and its styling will be shaped to reflect elements from the CS Concept, as seen in our illustration. The basic shape will remain much the same, however the new model is expected to feature a more prominent grille plus new wraparound headlights.

Designers will also focus on improving the quality of the interior, as the new X3 will be facing stiff competition from the recently new Audi Q5 and Mercedes-Benz GLK.

Production of the X3 will be moved to BMW’s Spartanburg plant, where it will be built alongside the new X6 and X5.

Expect to see the twin-turbo 3.0-liter from the 335i make its way into the X3 range, as well as the powerful but frugal new 204-hp 2.0-liter turbodiesel. A new hybrid model is also tipped to be on the table.

However, the current X3 will have to soldier on for a few more years until the arrival of this all-new model comes for the 2011 model year.
